me and barney went to see spark in shepherds bush last night. it was free entry before eight, and we're super cheap so we got there at about five to eight, hung around for an hour, but then found out spark wasn't on until half eleven, so we went for a pizza express round the corner. when we came back, the bar (it was a little student union bar) was busier, and i saw mat horne there, which i definitely wasn't expecting. spark was really really good, she's added new songs to her set that i really like, but nobody was really standing around so it felt a bit weird, especially with barney clutching his camera the whole time.
but THEN, we had long missed the last train, so we thought we'd get the night bus, but the last one went at 00:38 and we got there at 00:55. i swear night buses are meant to run all night? it took us an AGE to get home, i managed to spot a bus to putney, so we ran for our lives to catch it, got off at the wrong place, waited ages for a 93, then got the N87 back to mine from wimbledon. a really really long journey home, but a nice night. even though the drinks were crazy expensive, not what i was expecting from a student bar. oh well.
