bestival 2012

 As you can hopefully tell from the photos, Bestival was HOT. The weather is probably what I'm going to remember most about this year, we were really lucky to have sun all weekend, and it felt really weird to be putting on suncream instead of raincoats.Unfortunately the sun ruined a few of my photos (my camera isn't quite used to that amount of light) but I'm really pleased with how most of them came out.

I actually didn't end up seeing as many bands as I thought. The people I wanted to see most before I left were Grimes, Azealia Banks, King Krule, Alt-J and Florence. We actually only ended up seeing two out of those 5, because Azealia and King Krule pulled out at the last minute, and our ferry left hours before Grimes even came on. I did still manage to see: Warpaint, Alt-J, The xx, Florence, Jessie Ware, Friends and Lucy Rose. It didn't matter in the end anyway, some of the best bits were just sitting in the shady tent drinking cider and wandering around the arena.

I'm not sure if I'll go to Bestival next year, because we're already planning to go to Glastonbury and maybe a smaller festival like End of the Road or Lounge on the Farm, but this year was brilliant and I'd definitely recommend the festival to anyone, it's the best one I've been to.
