On the first afternoon in barcelona, Jordan and I went for a wander down La Rambla. It's the most tourist-y street in barcelona, with loads of souvenir stalls and fab restaurants. We were staying about 40seconds away from the top of it, so we had a look around for a restaurant to eat in, and had a peruse of the Mercat de la Boquerie, which was a huuuuuge indoor food market. We ended up getting dinner from a little italian restaurant (authentic spanish cuisine at it's finest) and had waffles from a stall afterwards.

Then we went to a cathedral in Jaume. We got there a bit late in the day, so all of our photos have an annoying shadow, but it was SO lovely, and totally took us by surprise as we were wandering round. It's really cool that so many buildings in the city are so old, every time i looked down a side street there was a massive church-y looking building, lots of which had been converted into theatres or shops or something. It makes London look really boring.
